On June 3rd (Monday), the Korea-Africa Foundation held the opening ceremony of the "Capacity Building Program for African Diplomats (2024)" at the KNDA Hall in Diplomatic Town. In his speech at the ceremony, Vice President Lim Jae-hoon urged the African diplomat trainees to actively contribute to strengthening the Korea-Africa partnership. Following the ceremony, the trainees introduced the cooperation relations between their countries and Korea and shared their aspirations for the special training program.

This training program, conducted on the occasion of the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit, includes participation from 36 diplomats from 36 African countries. From June 2nd (Sunday) to June 8th (Saturday), over the course of seven days, the participants will engage in various programs such as discussing Korea-Africa relations, sharing Korea's economic development experiences, attending side events of the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit including the 2024 Korea-Africa Energy Investment Forum, and visiting the DMZ and the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History.
