From August 7th (Thursday) to 8th (Friday), the African Startup Academy Competition was held for one night and two days for academy teams participating in the "2025 Korea-Africa Startup Competition."
The workshop was designed to strengthen the practical capabilities of prospective and early start-ups wishing to enter Africa, and to select the final participating teams to participate in the localization capacity building program and local boot camp in the future. In the first session, representatives of Mush &, Kijami Table and TAB, the graduates of the Korea-Africa Startup Competition, shared precautions and strategies for each field based on their experience in entering Africa.
In the afternoon program, office hour, mock pitch, English pitch consulting, and local entry consulting were operated in parallel. Participating teams checked their business model and global entry strategy through 1:1 mentoring with experts, and supplemented their presentation capabilities through feedback after mock pitch. In addition, practical consulting for English business plan and pitch deck advancement was provided.
In the evening, the academy team's completion ceremony was followed by the conclusion of the workshop schedule. We encouraged the teams that have been running together for the past two months and issued a certificate of completion under the name of the foundation. At the completion ceremony, Amb. Gam Un-an specially attended and congratulated the participating companies and presented them with a certificate.
The second day is the final participant team's presentation evaluation day! Over the past two months, the academy program and especially the capacity building program at the workshop have been evaluated to present advanced items and strategies.
The final selected teams will participate in corporate diagnosis, pitching consulting, advancement of entry strategies, and local boot camp programs in the future, and continue their full-fledged steps to advance into Africa.
Please pay a lot of attention and support to their challenges in the future.
